Out with the old, in with the new

As you may or may not know, my 8 year old computer finally bit the dust this past weekend. It wouldn't even start without the blue screen of death. So this past Saturday we bought a laptop. Woo Hoo, this thing is soooooooooooooo much faster! :-) and very nice. Just taking a very long time to transfer my files from my click free to my new computer and setting it up just the way i want to.
No more cluncky screens for me. I have upgraded with the new below.

Also every night I think I'm going to play my favorite game with the boys. Pick Up Sticks. :-)

James' Kindergarten Concert

Grandma and Grandpa came up to visit for the day so they could go and watch James in his first music performance at school. Before the fun could begin, we needed to fill our bellies. We ventured over to Quaker Steak & Lube. It was Yummy!!! Plus we lucked out becuase it was kids night! Not only with every kids meal did you get 6 wings (which I enjoyed for dinner tonight) the kids also got a free Sundae where they could pick out any toppings they wanted. There were a lot of toppings!! Here is Grandma helping James to choose.Eli decided upon the Gummy worms. Go figure.

After dinner and a bit of a rest back at home, it was time to go to the concert. I didn't get the best of pictures, but you get the idea.

Eli was a good little boy. This is him munching away on some Goldfish crackers that he received at the Quaker Steak. During the rest of the concert, he sat on Grandpa lap and did the motions along with the kids on stage.

So, today at school was book fair day. I gave James some money so he could pick out a pick. When he came home today he showed me his new Spongebob book and the pencil. Why he got a pencil, I don't know. Probably just wanted to spend all of his money. Anyway I told him I put his pencil away in his backpack so he could have it at school if he wanted. So I opened the front part of his backpack(the part I usually don't open) and what do I find......An I Love you note to some girl name Isabel!!! I am soooooo not ready for this! :-) But it was so cute. I asked him why he didn't give it to her. He got all red and said he chickened out. My James is going to be such a heartbreaker. :-)

On a complete different not look at all the FULL size stuff I received in the mail today. It was all FREE!! I love free stuff! It makes me happy. :-)


MacBeth's Muse for the Day: Getting my FREE (today was a good day for free stuff) full size bottle of Sunny Delight at the grocery store, knowing that every time I drink it I will think back to the time I was in Jr. High, waiting for the school bus at Grandpa and Grandma's. I would sit on their heater register drinking a glass of Sunny D in their striped glass staying warm until it was time to get on the bus. :-)

Mother/Son Bowling

On Saturday Jenny and AJ came up to Eastlake to Watch Eli so James and I could go the Mother/Son Bowling event that was put on by his school. It was very much appreciated and James and I had a good time. He bowled a lot!! Sadly when we were almost done was when I remembered I brought my camera and I didn't really get to good of shots.
James liked to sit under the ball rack while he waited for his turn.

Snow Day! (again)

This was taken at about 10 this morning. Probably received another 3" on top of that.

It was really heavy wet snow. Very pretty on the trees and bushes.


Thought Jeff might miss his car, so I took a picture of it for him.

Yes, I know this isn't a very pretty or exciting picture, but to me it is beautiful. I wanted to take a picture of all my hard work after shoveling all that snow. Remember our driveway can fit an 18-wheeler in it with some room to spare. And yes, shoveling, becuase no matter how much quick start i put into that snowblower it will not work! Santa, please bring me a new snowblower for Christmas next year and tell the Easter Bunny that I would like a Worx GT Trimmer for the summer months. Thanks!

It has been raining all day here and tonight is going to switch over to snow. Supposed to get 6-10" of snow tomorrow. Should make for an interesting day.

And my Birthday continues

So as you may or may not know, I have been wanting an Olivia shell for my Miche bag. Well My Birthday that I threw myself didn't go and I figured I would never get one. Well today along with my March Miche Display shells, to my biggest surprise, right on top was an Olivia shell! I jumped up and down like a little girl, I was so happy. there was a note with it from my Distributor saying Happy Birthday! I was in complete shock. I have the BEST Distributor.

Then Jeff came home after being in Michigan for the day and what did he bring home with him, Mike Sell's Potato Chips! Another great gift and complete surprise. Plus he got me my auto toothbrush that I actually did ask for my Birthday.

So my Birthday continued on for today and it will continue again tomorrow when James takes me out to the movies to go and see Rango. Should be another great day.

Ahhhhh

I came upon this picture when I went into the boys room to go and clip Eli's fingernails. I can only clip his nails when he is asleep. I went to his bed and he was not there! He was sleeping with James and apparently this has been happening for the past three nights. James says he likes it, so we'll see how long it lasts.

I'm 33 on 3/3!!!

Woo Hoo, It is my Birhtday today. And it was a good one. Lots of Birthday wishes from Facebook friends and Momslikeme.com posts, so the Day started out well. I was even brought some Lucky Charms cerel and Coffee in Bed. Too bad Eli started to eat my cereal before I could. :-) Sunshine helped today too. Now I'm in Carb overload. Just came back from Olive Garden where the boys took me out to eat. Here are a few pics.
