Mmmm Chick-Fil-A!

Thanks to our wonderful Chick-Fil-A in Willoughby, OH James and I had all this food for FREE today! It was great. All you had to do was bring in your Church Bulletin and you receive a Free Combo meal! How great is that. James ate the whole thing too. I even tried something different and got their expensive Chicken Club sandwich. It was yummy.

Yeah! for Chick-fil-A!

MacBeth's Muse for the day: Watching James go to the Bathroom all by himself at Chick-fil-a. He was all smiles when he got back to the table. You could tell he was proud of himself for doing it all alone.

This Past weekend. Saturday (what should have been the good day)

So I'm just going to start typing here since I can't figure out how to get words before the first picture.

So it all stated out way back in January when Jeff was able to get us tickets to last Browns game in a suite. Of course ;-) In a suite along with the normal Hot Dogs, they also have the really good food. They also had something there called Buffalo Mac & Cheese. I DO NOT like Mac & Cheese. My sister tormented me with this dish back wehn we were growing up during the summer by her making it every single day! Ahh the smell, YUCK!

But I thought to myself, I was going to try this one. First off, it is not Kraft. It is 'homemade'. Second I love Buffalo wings, so I thought this might have a 'kick' to it. Third, IT LOOKED GOOD! And, it was. Yum-o.

So I asked Jeff to get the recipe for me. Well he was never able to get it. He thought that they got it from Food Network.

Well this past Saturday, I woke up and I was in the mood to cook. This never happens. So I go online and get the recipe. There are a lot of Fresh ingredients, but it says 'easy'. So I thought I would go all out and do this. I buy all the ingrediaents. Garlic, parsley, blue cheese, pepper jack, all of it. I chop, I shred, I mince. 1 hour later into this 'easy' recipe I look at the clock and I don't really care that I am an hour into this. I am now starting to melt all the cheeses together. I'm melting and stirring and something doesn't seem right. It doesn't seem very smooth. Didn't think anything of it, becuase I know I have everything! I put everythign together in the order it says and put in the oven to cook for the next 50 minutes. I'm all happy, thinking this going to be great, I get out to take a picture, becuase I'm so proud of myself and the mess I have created. I take the picture and get this.

I look at my picture that I just took and fall to my knees saying, 'NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Everybody is looking at me wondering what in the world is going on as I lay on the kitchen floor crying/laughing at myself. Everything was going so well and it looks so good, but I pulled a mom! I forgot a major ingredient.

I forgot 2 cups worth of half and half. It is sitting right there in front of my face!!! How can I forget it. No wonder my cheese wasn't creamy. Too late now, dinner ruined. It is not something that I can go back in real quick and do a quick stir and add. It's done. So 50 minutes later, two grilled cheese sandwiches for the boys later, my 'dinner' is ready. This is what it looks like.

Still looks pretty good. Jeff and I still eat it. Istead of a nice creamy buffal Mac and cheese we have more of a cheese crust. But it is edible, and not half bad. Jeff even gave it a 6! Imagine what I would have gotten if I had the half and half!

This was it for dinner too! No sides, just this. And a bottle of Fuzzy Navel. I know a very high school/college drink, but it sounded good and it was good!

Here is the link to the recipe if anyone wants to try it. It really could be good.

At least Dessert was good. James and I made a Chocolate pudding pie. So everyone enjoyed that with some nice whip cream.

So that's my dinner story. Hope you enjoyed it.

MacBeth's Muse for that day: Stories that make me smile when I think of them. Especially ones that happen on holidays when someone forgets one simple ingredient in a pie. These are the stories that make my story more of a happy/sad situation instead of a sad/disappointing/never want to do again situation.

Snow Day!

Here is James on top of one of my snow piles.

Here is James putting a carrot into his snowman.

James with his final creation.

James decided to throw a snowball at me. Too bad I was inside the house with the door opened. He missed and it landed in the kitchen. :-)

After the day had ended and everyone was home. We kicked back and watched a movie. I made some more of my yummy stovetop popcorn and the kids snuggles together. ( I wonder how long this lasts)

The Following should be at the top of this post, but I can't figure out yet how to put the pictures where I want to put the pictures and have text first. Help, anyone?

On Friday we received about 8 inches of snow. James stayed home from school that day. After I worked I went out to shovel the driveway. Yes, we have a snowblower but why use that when you can get great exercise shoveling! Right? (can anyone tell my sarcasam?) Anyway, James came out to help me and decided to have a little fun in the snow.

From here on out, Muse is described as something that has entertained/made me smile/made me think twice.

MacBeth's Muse for the day: Thinking that Snowplow drivers get a real kick when they drive by a residential driveway putting a whole lot of dirty, heavy snow on said driveway, especially when they see that resident is out there still shoveling said driveway.

The joys of eating Cereal!

This Past weekend. Sunday (the good day)

I will get to more about this past weekend soon, but I'm just starting this bogging thing and it is 8:50 at night and I want to go to bed soon. I just wanted to quickly share this cute video (well I think it is cute anyway) of Eli and his Popcorn.

On Sunday we watched the Daytona 500 and ate popcorn. I also drank a Fuzzy Navel, but I will get why later. I just wanted to quickly share that I made the popcorn myself over the stove! It was great and tasted soooo much better than Microwave popcorn. I highly recommend it. I just followed the instructions from my favorite blogger, Collin on Hip2save!

Enjoy the video. Remember I just told him that he could get some more for himself and this is what he did.

I am now Blogging. Oh My!

Thanks to my wonderful Sister and Sister-in-law I have decided to Blog. Wh, I really don't know yet, but we will see what come of it. Of course most of my 'Muses' will come from kids and I'm sure some will come from wonderful Hubby too ( I Love you Jeff ;-) ). This will more than likely not be updated daily.

So here it goes. Enjoy the pictures and the random thought from the Day. Who knows what I will say, while they predict for another 6-10" of that lovely white stuff here in Lake County Ohio!

This is just a test to see how this works.
